Chef or Sous Chef required urgently in HIGHGATE, Western Australia

The Beaufort Street Merchant (BSM) is one of the most unique venues in Perth. Our brasserie, bar, wine shop, restaurant and provedore,this spave is buzzing with locals from morning to night, serving up rustic dishes such as coq de vin pie, cassoulet, handmade pasta and so on.
The Beaufort Street Merchant is seeking a full time Sous Chef to complement our team and fit our fun and energetic culture.
As a Sous Chef you will support the Head Chef & oversee the smooth operation of all kitchen operations relating to the service of our restaurant.
Key responsibilities include:
-Supporting, managing and mentoring the kitchen personel.
-Ensuring that the team are demonstrating confidence,warmth & are 'real' in every interaction with each other and all staff.
-Stocktaking of all supplies ensuring wastage is kept to a minimum
-Communication across all areas & associated businesses
-Organisation of external product knowledge training
-Relationships with suppliers
-Ensure team maximize all sales opportunities with a view to completing the guests dining experience
-Handle all issues with care and respect
-Ensuring adequate manning across each shift whilst adhering to budget expectations.
-Continously seeks ways of improving the team, yourself and our services.
-Cleaning and Hygience standards are exemplary - Not Negotiable.
